Full of Days is a hybrid experiment, merging traditional theatre performance and 360 film. It’s a heartbreaking story of the human psyche with a unique artistic addition of VR.
Karen has been to her GP and to therapists. She has been on medication. Her boyfriend Esben has done everything he can to support her. But slowly, she sinks deeper and deeper into a depression. They were supposed to travel, have children, maybe a small house, but now Karen only wants to sleep quietly while Esben holds her hand. She tries to explain to him, that she does not want to live anymore. All she wants is his blessing to die peacefully. But how can Esben accept his girlfriend’s request? Who is to say that a person is sick? And do we fully decide our own destiny?
Full of Days starts as a traditional stage play. Later in the performance, the audience is asked to put on VR head mounts and through the virtual experience, they come to understand Karen’s perspective. They see what she is seeing and feels what she is feeling.
Through Karen’s eyes, the audience is presented with a controversial virtual reality drama that puts euthanasia in a new perspective.
