MORTALITIES
A VR OPERA
Mortalities is a virtual reality opera exploring the lines between life and death and between physical and virtual presence. While combining VR with opera, Mortalities offers the possibility to enter the music and the underworld itself. The large live installation allows the audience to experience a multisensorial death opera by physically roaming around in its gloomy transformative landscapes.
Inspired by mythological images of the underworld the artistic team has developed six stages that take the audience deeper and deeper, and ever closer to the total decomposition – the total meltdown.
