What does the future of VR storytelling look like?  At MANND we believe that part of the answer is found within Social VR; virtual reality experiences that are shared between two or more people. BLIND VR explores the possibilities of cinematic storytelling through social VR.

BLIND is a love story about a young couple named Sara and Milo, who goes through a rough patch in their relationship as Sara slowly starts to lose her eyesight. Despite countless efforts to mend their relationship, the couple meets up one last time in an attempt to rekindle their love. They look back on their choices and actions in their relationship.

This video is a case study made by VR production house MANND and 3D audio studio AWE. The purpose of the experiment is to better understand how to tell stories within social VR. As a result of the pandemic, the social element of VR has caught the attention of global businesses and the art world. There is now a huge demand for experiences and digital business solutions that put the social aspect at the forefront. Social VR allows multiple audiences to share and enjoy experiences together, despite being physically apart.

Creating a collective, immersive space, Social VR can be used for everything from virtual business meetings and conferences to showrooms, festivals and theatres.
